GLOBAL EXPRESS - the name has changed to Express Mail?

I'm not sure, but it appears so:
- same pricetag ($22 and up)
- provides tracking / proof of delivery
- provides free $100 insurance.

So Global Express was renamed Express Mail.

And a newer higher-cost service ($40 and up) was added, called Global International, which is not a USPS service but a U.P.S. service.



I'm confused about the "new" Priority Mail International. Does this provide tracking/proof of delivery to the UK and Canada? It looks like it does, but I'm not sure. What does "Tracking to Major Destinations" mean? It tracks to London, but not backwater villages?

Global Express has always been the same as Express Mail. It's commonly referred to as EMS, or Express Mail Service. It's nothing new. You even use the same address labels for Global Express that you would for domestic Express.

I've never heard of Global International, but then again, I'd rather personally hand deliver an item to a customer across the globe than use UPS again.

Not only have the U.S. Post Office's rates changed, but so have their services. It's worth a visit to their usps.gov website to review all the changes.

Bottom Line:

If I ship to Yorkshire, England, will Priority International provide enough "tracking" to cover my butt from a Paypal 'item not received' claim? I want to be able to look & confirm that an item was delivered.

I don't know about Priority International, but Global Express/EMS is sufficient tracking for Paypal. Of course, the buyer's address has to be confirmed for it to matter, which unfortunately it usually isn't overseas.
