    Default 7800 Homebrews.

This is just in case we have 7800 owners here who haven't heard about this yet...

Believe it or not, new games are being made for the Atari 7800. At last, this neglected system, which perished due to "Tramielitis," is being given a second chance. Here is the latest: a Pac-Man Collection that is to the 7800 what Opcode's is to the ColecoVision!

Here are some "in development." If they ever do see the light of day, then the 7800 library will become more like it should have been so long ago.

This is especially interesting! Hopefully, the other enemies will be included after all. My old magazines mention this version; I think it was called "Q*Bopper."

Why are Atari screenshots so blocky-looking and garish?

If not for Opcode's Pac-Man Collection, I'd get the 7800 one.

http://www.atariage.com/development_...velopmentID=91 will not released anytime soon. The Author of tubes has no desire to finish the game for the 7800. He made in know in 2006.

This version of Q*Bert is still being worked by the author and is now known as Bonq. The latest version has minor update and is found here http://www.atariage.com/forums/index...ic=67240&st=75

I own a couple homebrews for the 7800. Pac-man collection is very good. I also own Santa Simon. It was holiday limited cart for the 7800.

What limits the 7800's hardware to not be able to draw round numbers for the score in Pac-Man? All the numbers look so blocky...

That's a shame, that game looks interesting to me.

Nothing really. I'd just assume it's because the game is blatantly based off the 7800 Ms. Pac-Man engine...hell, I'd consider it more a hack than a homebrew.

Ah, ok. That makes sense. It would be great if somebody had the time to build one of the arcade classics for the 7800 completely from the ground up, utilizing all that has been learned about the system's capabilities.

Beef Drop was a pretty fantastic port, and an excellent homebrew!

The latest version of friggie (aka frogger) is now up as it is was post today. It is found here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index...&#entry1309819

I think froggie is not completed yet. The homebrew author is doing this game by scratch.
