Some of my EA games are regular Phillips and some are what appears to be a variation of spanner (spanner is 2 prongs)

You could try a hardware shop and see if they can dig up something. If all else fails, get a cheap Bic pen, take out the ink tube and the top cover, heat the barrel and then shove it into the screw until the plastics cooled off and you should be able to open it.

If I am not mistaken, these games use a security bit similar to the NES. I believe it is a 4.5mm security bit, but I could be wrong. This is available at mcm electronics.

Well, not EA carts. The one I have has 3 notches (not 6 that most games uses) I haven't seen any tools that would work yet but the closest would be a Tri-wing with the tip cut off and the center drilled out to make 3 pronged bit. Tri-wing can be found at ACO hardware in #0 to #3 and incidently is the same kind used with GBC and GBA system and GBA games.

I have a small slightly bent two pronged spanner that worked on the EA screws. It came with a full blown security bit set from MCM electronics.

I checked that security toolkit, and I didn't see a 3 pronged bit used on some EA carts. I think EA used a completely original custom design that is non standard.

The bit I mentioned, that sorta works, is available in the toolkit sylentwulf is selling.

It's an awesome kit too. Indispensable actually.
