    Default "new" neogeo pocket color?

I've been looking into getting a NGPC. I've been looking online and have found information about a redesigned "new" NGPC that's streamlined, better battery consumption, etc... I've searched the forum for any information about this but can't find anything about it.

This site has a few images of same:

Is it worth getting the redesigned version? On eBay I only ever spot the original version. What do NGPC people recommend?

I've never heard of that, interesting. NGPC is pretty nice machine standard though, I would assume either one is great.

They seem to pop up on eBay once in a while. I've seen a transparent yellow ones and a clear one. I swear I've seen a blue one too.

Now if they'd included a front light on it, then I'd have got one a long time ago.

The "Slimline" NGPC as they are typically called were released in Japan only, in 8 colors, and are smaller than the normal NGPC. Other than a slightly smaller body, they are pretty much exactly the same, screen, button layout/size, battery life etc.. Personally, I say go with the regular one as it isn't cumbersome at all, will do just fine and can be had easier and cheaper. I prefer the original one actually.

I have one and from what I recall it's not that much smaller. I'll have to check it out next time I'm home to see how much smaller it is.
    What have you done America?

Can someone please confirm the eight colors it was released in?

And were there any Slimline special editions or box-sets?

    Here are the normal eight:

There was also the Hanshin Tigers, which I am 95% sure is a slimline (but I always forget), I can double check later when I get home. The Ogre Battle Box Set came with the regular retail Crystal Blue Slimline inside the outer box.
