Soccer games, obviously. FIFA and Football Manager are the biggest.

I also remember that Sonic Heroes was the #2 selling game of 2004 in the UK.

Whatever GAME is paid to promote that month....

The kids are off running around killing people and robbing in GTA, sad older men play Football Manager and the rest of the nation really is playing whatever games are paid to be promoted in the chain stores. That's if they still have an intact TV screen and haven't had any Wiimote-based accidents. I am continually impressed with the most random of non-gaming folk who are telling me they've gone and got a Wii though.

Round my area, it's good that all the dodgy little 14yr old chavs are getting stoned and playing GTA (on their slightly *ahem* modded consoles ) instead of actually going out mugging Grannies and robbing cars.

Well the responses are for Uk, as soccer doesnt sell overly well in australia.

Sales wise the popular aussie games and sales chart usually reflect those of the USA,
