Default atari 2600 controller tester value?

this is a good idea guys, making this and finds into its own forum!

anyway, not sure i got any info on this tester when i put it in a while back. it has the cover and cardboard manual, but one light is loose inside. im thinking about dumping everything, so kind of want a ballpark as to what the more obscure items may be worth...

If I were to guess, it wasn't commercially sold. I think it would be hard to put a value on something like that. If you were to ask a games collector, they'd maybe give you $30-40. If it was an Atari fanatic that needed to have every piece of Atari history, they could give you up to maybe $75-100 for it. If it were me, I'd probably start the offer around $35.

If I remember right, they are around $90 or so. If you decide to unload it, lmk.

$100 loose, according to the Atari Test Console entry in the DP Online Rarity Guide.

I think one that was missing the instructions and back piece sold for $80 not to long ago. I paid a couple hundred for mine in about the same condition as yours.

I would get some opinions over at AtariAge for further advice. $100 seems low, I would ask Rick Weis here. He is the Atari freak and would give you an honest answer.

I went back and checked and found that the one I was previously offered (for $80) was missing the instruction manual. So that would have knocked the asking price down quite a bit.

Not sure if they still have them but Best Electronics had those in their catalog a few years ago.
