That's a joke, right? I think I beta this in 10 minutes on first or second try the week it came out.

Anyway, I did eventually legitimately beat Holy Diver, btw:

One of my greatest accomplishments ever. Not much competes with that.

Many kudos, Rob. I hope to accomplish this eventually, what with it being the only Famicom title I own at the moment. Hell, I'm amazed that I managed to beat level 3!

I'm also putting in a bid for Holy Diver being the hardest game ever, though R-Type 2 also grazes that edge. I eventually beat R-Type 2, but it took oh-so-much time and looking up exactly how to beat the final boss as quickly as possible before the battle degraded into absolute chaos. What can I say? When it comes to pain, Irem knows what works without somehow managing to make their games unfun.

Im gonna throw Double Dragon 3 for the Nes in the pot. 1 life no continues. Im sure someones realy good and will say it's easy. Not me. Then the other is is Super Ghouls n' Ghosts for Snes. Ok so I can flip it and get to the end again but the very last guy is hard as fuck! I have beat it on emulator with save states every second. But damn. Fun game.

Problem with Double Dragon 3 is its learning curve. It's hard from the beginning. With pratice thoguh (and the fact that you get two more fighters later in the game) you can beat it. Of course, it will not be easy.
