    Question Help with SNES Cart

So, I just received Castlevania IV in a trade, which I have been looking forward to playing. Unfortunately, while the game loads and I can play (at least to level 3), I get graphics problems. Specifically, I can see code in the background in the first area (if I use the D-pad, Right). It goes away if I use any other direction. The same is true of other areas, but the background "flies by" for lack of better words, though its odd. For example, only the background in the castle windows in level two, and so on. I'm pretty well versed in cleaning contacts, as an NES collector, so I've cleaned and polished those to nearly new after opening the cart. No problems with other SNES carts in the same console, using the same controller. I'm hoping someone can help?

As a side note, this cart needs a new sticker, if someone knows where to get quality repros. Not a huge deal, as I'm only picky about my NES, but might as well fully restore, if I can.

    Thanks in advance! dwf

Hmm, that's strange. Just a wild guess, but try cleaning the connector on the console itself. I have a finicky copy of Mario 3 that kept acting up even after cleaning the cartridge. Cleaning the 72-pin connector fixed it. So maybe the same thing on the SNES might work.

That was what I thought might be an issue, as well, but I cleaned those recently as well. . .Thanks for the thought, though!
