Next year at the end of CGE I'm standing outside the airport with a huge bin on wheels.

Any videogames? Sorry new rules you can't fly with those put them in the cart please. You sir with the stack of videogames STOP!

Yes this is airport security, Joe Santuli is making a run for it. Backup requested. This is a Matter of National security!!!

long story Short I was on a "watch List" back in 2003 till about 2006 at all U.S airports.
why Xbox carry on passed it trought x-rays they pulled me aside and ask me what it was and so on.....
they swabed it with a rag and found "residue" not on the xbox but on my bag
what kind or "residue" they wouldn't tell me.
The Point is they took all my info and made sign a paper or else I couldn't fly that day.
From then on I was Not allowed to use Self-Service Check-In machines at the airports.

    The
Good news I flew this past march and had no problems. Maybe their
    "watch List" expires

Going home through the Vegas airport was fast, and very easy. But DFW (Dallas/Ft. Worth) was incredibly slow. Every person at security had to look at my Lynx, and gave it the "swab" test. While they were doing that, I asked them if anyone knew that Atari used to make game systems, and they all said "No." I powered up the Lynx, and they seemed to enjoy it, but kept quiet.

I had no problems with games going through security, even though theyw ere packed in my bag.
but what is this about taking off your shoes to go through the metal detector.
I did that leaving chicago and vegas. weird. I do understand that it might be possible to hide something there.

One of my checked bags got searched. I found out they searched it only after I got home and opened it up to see everything re-arranged. They left me a piece of paper in the bag saying they searched the bag. All the games I had in there were fine but nothing was put back together correctly. Games and instructions were all mixed up. Everything was in good shape, so no complaints.

I don't watch TV at all but this was a huge story. You'd have to try hard to miss it. It seems whenever the talk about airport security they bring it up.

Both of my check-ins were inspected on my way home - a box of books and my suitcase.

Strangely enough, the Brown Box, which I was carrying on the plane, wasn't personally searched in Las Vegas, on my way home, as it had been in Newark on my way there. I didn't realize it, but I had put Intellivision buttons in my carry-on along with the Brown Box. They got past security.

I'm happy to say that boxes of all the new games that I bought survived the trip home. This is a first!

I haven't had any problems, but the guy at the luggage x-ray passed mine through the machine a few times, probably trying to figure out what the hell everything was XD
