    "That's a mint box"

    Mystery box number 1...

    Went to Drexel928...

It was hilarious listening to Joe name off the games in the Mystery box... He was just naming them off like "Poker and Blackjack for the Intellivision... $2".. etc...

"We've got $100 on the left

    Crazy

    Mystery box O'crap #2

GAC and Vectorman0 trying to tell Drexel to stop bidding on the mystery boxes....

But he persisted and won the second box of crap.

This is Vectrexer. He and Mayhem were bidding against each other like crazy for a Vectrex item... and I thought NES collectors were insane.

Even after Vectrexer won, he and Mayhem took a drink together.

He also donated a complete Vextrex collection to the auction

Nicola won the 3rd mystery box. BUT, he had to decide whether he wanted to pick the left one, or the right one. He knew that there was a bunch of prototypes in one of them, however. Nobody knew what was in the other one.

    He got the crowd going...

... and ended up picking the left...

...which turned out to be the prototypes, which he wanted.

The final mystery box, which went for $1400, I think...

    ...went to this lucky guy...

    Pan's Eye View of CGE2K7:

A meeting of some of DP's Greatest: Sothy, Flack and Ubikuberalles.

Longest shot I could get of the wall of classic cab goodness. That's my son, Alex, on the far right. This shot is probably going to become my new wallpaper at work.

Not being fiscally capable, peer-burdened or otherwise compelled to shell out hundreds of dollars on the hobby, Alex and Mezrabad's son, Ben (both veterans of OVGE2006) realized what CGE was really all about - pure love of playing videogames - and they ran with it (or better yet, sat down and played) for most of the next two days.

My brother Willy (DP member Dirk's Bones) and myself on the way in to see our favorite band on Saturday night. It wouldn't have felt like a real Rush concert without him alongside me in the row of seats .

Good old Sothy. He's the real deal. Here he is co-opting Fighter17's custom DP badge since Fighter didn't have the testicular fortitude to wear it himself. In the Marines we had a colloquialism used to refer to challenging someone's manhood: "Pulling your punk card". Sothy did this - literally - to Fighter17 at CGE. Nice work, Soth.

Walter Day - Twin Galaxies' head honcho - congratulating me on my run to get a record on Missile Command. I took 4th place. I might have gotten a higher score, but some other folks were hogging the 80's living room (where I really wanted to play), so I had to settle for the 2600 on the back wall which unfortunately was attached to a pair of 7800 controllers. 215,000 points and change scored on a "Painstick". Oww...but I still made the grade.

My princess was in another castle! Really. Mrs. Pan went over to the Mirage to swim, so Alex and I had to walk over to the Hilton post-CGE to catch the monorail. We decided to pop into the Star Trek bar for a spell. You see how well that went. Whod've thunk that Gorns can be placated with Diet Dr. Pepper? Alex is such a clever little Hobbit.

Game Over. Out of Quarters and Continues. The Pantechniclan poses for the Obligatory Mirage Dome Garden Photo and heads back to Abq.

Another great year. Hope to do it again soon!

Pantech I have to disagree with what you said about Sothy wearing Fighter17 badge. To tell you the truth I did not even notice the badge of Sothy in fact I did not notice anyone's badges and especially what they said. Most likely Fighter17 had no idea Sothy was even "Calling out his Manhood". Unless Sothy actually went up to Fighter17 and said"What do you think of my name badge." I really don't find anything special about that.

    Default Some Crucial Pics

Finally recovered from CGE and got around to posting these pics. Impressions will follow in the appropriate thread. Lots of fun overall, had a blast. More and better pics are to come, after all the film gets developed, but I thought I'd share these gems now:

FINALLY got the DP "official" photo page online. As always, thanks to Don Rogers for always being in the right spot, at the right time, with a camera.
