Just get me another job like the one I had this year. Recruiting and helping to choose a spokesmodel for the auction was simply hell! Oh the pain! The pain!

This year I wanted to go again, decided it was impractical again, and whined incessantly about it again. After reading John's 'thank you' post I came away with two thoughts:
1) I need to force myself to start saving NOW so I can afford to go next year.
2) Holy Cow!!! If John can post something that well written and grammatically correct just days after running CGE, AND while he's to use his own words "half-drunk", I can't begin to imagine the prose he'd produce if he posted on a regular basis, sober!
I still think commercial air travel is one of the most miserable experiences a person can endure, but the show definitely sounds worth the pain.
do 10$ a day and youll have a shot at a mystery boxJust a quick tip for everyone. Start saving now! I can't stress enough how important this is. Think of it this way: If you put $2 a day away in a jar or a christmas club account, you'd have over $700 saved for next year. More than enough for airfare, hotel and a little left over depending on where you're coming from.

Also, make sure (just like there is EVERY year) that there's a Warlords cab set up for free play... Garrett needs the practice... and if anyone's wondering about that, I'll be posting the video pretty soon. ^_^
If it helps, I've already convinced a friend in cali that he and his wife need to hit CGE 2008, on the basis of the classic arcade cabs alone :P
Check out the Kleppings!

It wold be nice to have it on the east coast one of these days. Like maybe Boston or Providence.
I wonder if Atlantic City has ever been discussed? No matter where it's at I'll be back.
While Atlantic City would be nice for me too, there are a couple of reasons why it probably wouldn't be considered:
1) Cost: Unlike Las Vegas, there aren't any inexpensive hotels that provide convention areas. All of the resorts along the boardwalk are expensive. Anything off the boardwalk is probably dangerous.
2) Accesibility: AC is 1 hour from Philadelphia and two hours from Newark International airport. Its own airport is more of a regional airport (although it is called an International airport) however direct flights to it would be at a minimum. I don't believe the shuttle system from the airport to the boardwalk is anywhere as sophisticated as the one in Las Vegas
Anyway, if Ed could take VGXPO and emulate Phillyclassic's success, instead of trying to create a new E3, then we already have a CGE-type convention on the East Coast.

We need a CGE type convention somewhere on the east coast. I think it would work the best in a City like Nashville, Atlanta, or maybe somewhere in Ohio so it would be driveable for anyone on the east. Maybe it will happen at some point soon
Also a Florida location might not be terrible either. Orlando has a ton of cheap hotels, lots of activities to do, good shuttles, but I am not sure about convention halls.

We already have Cinciclassic in Ohio. One major problem about having a CGE-type convention on the East Coast is that much of the alumni is on the WEST coast.

And don't forget VGXPO! That's an east coast event.

Looking forward to CGE 2K8!!!
