Default I have a question about the Genesis Arcade Power Stick?

I heard alot of good things about this joystick, so I grabbed one from ebay. On mine, the actual joystick on it is angled towards the front. Meaning, it does not come exactly straight up from the base. I was wondering if this is normal or if mine is screwed up?

The front of the base of the joy is like a 1/4 inch lower then the back but the stick is just like you would expect it at a 90degree angle.

Yeah, mine sticks straight up. Maybe you oughta see a doctor and get that checked out.....
    :P

Those disassemble fairly easily. Your spring may just be warped. You could take it out and stretch it a bit, and re-seat it. I bet it's fixable.

    OK, here is the deal.......

I took it apart. The actual joystick is DEFINITELY angled towards the front. It is a solid piece of plastic and is not warped or broken. Everything else, including the spring, is in perfect condition.

So, maybe some of these units had angled joysticks and some didn't??

I guess, but that is sure strange. I mean, the plastic joystick appears to have been deliberitely made to have an angle. And...it is angled towards the player which would make some sense. It also doesn't affect gameplay at all. WTF? It's prolly worth about $5,000 or so!!!!!

    OMG!! RARE RARE RARE!!!

It's a great stick. I have a 3 buttoner. Would be nice to have the sixer, but hey. I get what Value Village has. Cleaning it up was a labour of love, as those sticks were very pricey back in the day.
