Default Colecovision has crooked cart connector

Apparently my Colecovision's cart connector is crooked for some odd reason. Every time I insert a game it's tilted to the left and when I try to straighten the game out, it doesn't load. What could've caused this, and how can I fix it?

This happened to me once...take apart your ColecoVision and have a look...it may not be the cart connector. There are lots of pins, transistors, and other junk soldered on the board near the cartridge slot. I'm willing to bet that something got bent out of shape and is now being crushed by the cartridges you are inserting. This would prevent the cartridge from being inserted all the way on one side.

If that's not the problem, check the connection between the cartridge port and the motherboard, it may simply be coming loose from the board on one side.
