Default Best Driving & Fighting Controllers For The GameCube?

This weekend I decided to finally order a couple of racing games for my GameCube and I picked NASCAR Thunder 2003 and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. Yes, I've heard the PS2 version of NFS:HP2 is by far the best but I don't have a PS2 (or an XBox for that matter) so I'm stuck with the GC version. I've never been great at playing racing games with normal controllers so I've decided to get a steering wheel controller...the question is, which is the best one for the GC? Glancing around online, I've spotted at least a couple so does anyone have any suggestions? I actually ordered one but I may be able to cancel that and pick another one if I don't take too long.

I'm also wondering about the best controller for fighting games on the Cube though there aren't that many fighting games so far. There isn't a joystick for the system yet, is there?

I like the Madcatz wheel I bought. It works with Ps1/2, Xbox and cube (which is why I bought it!). For third party, it's decent. It's Force Feedback is weak, but the tradeoff for that is that it does not need it's own power supply.

Since you don't have all 3 modern consoles, the universal aspect of it may be useless to you, but it was a deal maker for me.

Thanks, I'll take a look at it. You say it works with the original PS? I do have that. I will check and see if it works with it. Of course, by now, the one I ordered earlier may have entered the shipping process which would make it too late to cancell the order. That one is the Logitech Speed Force Wheel.
