    Default Fairchild Channel F problems

I have a Channel F System II that I purchased a year ago. I never got around to hooking it up and testing it out until recently. It simply doesn't work.

I've tried several cartridges, none of which work. I've checked the gold contacts on the carts and they are pristine, so I don't think that is the problem. The system powers on and a display does come up, but it's just stationary, scrambled graphics (the same as when there is no cart inserted). Maybe the cartridge isn't making contact? The contacts in the system are just impossible to clean (but they look fine already). I've tried opening it up but can't get it all the way open and I don't want to force it.

I was hoping to sell this thing; I'd like to get it in working order if possible. Anyone have a similar problem that they were able to solve?

Talk to either e5frog or FND at AtariAge and they should be able to help you.

I will do that, thank you. (I'll post my query there first.)
