    Default Famicom Power Supply

I just got a famicom from my friend who was in Japan for a while, however, it did not come with a power supply for whatever reason. Can I use the power supply from a US NES on the famicom without having to worry about any power issues/problems? Just want to make sure before I go and plug it in.
