@PDF: yup it's fairly complete, it's only missing 2 plastic symbols. I believe they are called "possessions" or something like that.
I've got a complete copy of Quest For The Rings that I've had since 1982. Are they worth much money?
@Sothy - this was indeed the true beauty of Quest, you could play it without all of the board game trappings just fine. Conquest Of The World is also that way, but alas, Great Wall Street Fortune Hunt is not.
@den68 - I have a couple of incomplete Quests that I've gptten in trades and eBay lots over the years. I'll check between now and Sunday to see if I've got spares of those missing pieces for ya.
As for whether a complete game is worth money, it really depends on the condition of the box, docs, and board, and whether or not all the pieces are present and accounted for. But also keep in mind that Quest was the launch title for the Master Strategy Series, and as such there are an awful lot of them about. Not having the DP guide, I'm not sure what the rarity rating is, but I can't imagine it being that rare. Maybe $20-$30 for a complete boxed game with everything in good shape. Original retail was in the $40-$50 range if I recall correctly.
@PDF: thanks! that would be cool, I'm two tiny white chunks of plastic away from a complete game.
