Question:
What was the first home video game console released in the U.S.?

It's the Magnavox Odyssey, came out i think 1970.. if not, then the early 1970s.
Yeah, as said it's the Magnavox Odyssey. I did a report last year on the history of video gaming.

Additionally (shameless plug), I devote a full chapter to the system in Classic Home Video Games 1972-1984. Included is a complete Odyssey console biography, plus descriptions/reviews for every game for the system.

I beg to differ. Lots of posters on lots of message boards (including this one) have a signature they use with every post, whether it's a pithy quote, a silly aside, a saying of some sort, or a link to a website or a blog.
When I weigh in on a topic, my signature is part of my post, the same as with lots of other people. If I have recently posted a relevant article or review on my blog, I will sometimes make mention of it since classic gamers may be interested. I could simply post the article within the body of the message, but oftentimes there are pictures, and sometimes the articles are quite long.
