    Default Lame question sega genesis

I feel like an idiot asking this ...

I picked up a bunch of genesis consoles.

On the right side bottom is that little expansion bay thingy, and usually It has that red 'Do Not Remove' cover on it.

3 of these 5 systems have a cart of some type in there.

    What is it???

    Thanks,

    -chesh

I hadn't heard of anything like this, either. Here's what I dug up:

"Demo System DS-16 6-Cart Changer (Cartridge with a wire extending from the top to a black box with 6 cartridge ports and a palm grip button (similar to a detonator switch) that would allow you to cycle through the 6 games at any time)"

Apparently, it lets you connect 6 games to the system and cycle through them, much like a Neo Geo arcade system. Or at least, that's what I think it does. If that's what it is that you have, it sounds rare.

Could be the dongle that comes with the 32X. It's entirely optional for the 32X setup and doesn't really do much. It's black, small and vaguely cartridge shaped.

Probably more likely than finding 3 of the demo carts, I guess

the 32x dongle makes sense, since there were a few 32x games in the box lot.

either way I'll get a picture up. it'll be a few days though.

I did find the information on the demo cart thing online also, but it looks more like the description of the 32x dongle.

    Thanks,
