Open it. I would never buy this game without knowing that it works or not. I like complete games, but I like to know they work. The game that sold on ebay was not sealed and it went for almost $300. I dont think it matters too much with this game. I actually would rather purchase a game that has been tested and works, than a game that has been tested.
They are saving the replacement copies for a reason....what happens if you open it a year from now and it doesnt work? If that happens now, you get a replacement.
Enjoy this game, it is cool to see how much work went into making it.

If people weren't talking about their copies, I'd be sure this was a scam. The contact form disappearing off their site? Incredible... I do not hold out any hope for my copy arriving.
The contact form has not disappeared, I'm looking at it right now. http://www.piersolar.com/ps_credits_contact.php
I haven't received an email or my copy yet. Hopefully will-just picked up another genesis recently that is just begging to play this
Hey Josh, haven't seen you in awhile. How have you been?
I just finished Pier Solar yesterday and have to say, it was definitely worth the wait. While I wouldn't say the game unseats the 16-bit classics of yesteryear like Lunar, Final Fantasy, and Phantasy Star, I can honestly say that it very well rivals them in quality, and had it been released back then, would stand alongaside those titles as a fondly remembered classic.
While there are a few speedbumps in the pacing towards middle of the game, they are easily overlooked by the excellent combat system and solid writing that really makes you care for the characters.
While I don't play many RPGs more than once, I'm already itching to pick this one back up and give it another go.
For everyone still waiting on your copy- be patient. The wait is worth it.
I'm a weiner.

What I love, is checking the mailbox daily only to log in here and see that the people (asshats) who did receive copies already hocking them on eBay. Heres hoping to a surprise in the mail tomorrow.
I pre-ordered my copy 2 years ago, I wanted to play the game so badly. They shipped the game december 14, and I still haven't receveid it.
But my hope is intact, just yesterday I received games that I bough 3 months ago, and in this case, I wasn't expecting nothing anymore.
It seems like the big holdup with everyone, or at least in my case is customs. Maybe they got supicious after seeing so many packages come from the same place in China. Mine was shipped on the 30th, and its apparently still in customs.
Just got my copy today. Had to go pick it up from the P.O. I spent the entire drive back trying to figure out who in China would be sending me something. Nice surprise when I finally got around to opening it up.
It's going up on Ebay now suckers...
just kidding. I'm keeping it.

WTF is a Dim-Mac?!?!?
My game arrived a couple of days ago, safely and securely. I plan on playing this game in detail after things settle down for me. The quality I have so far seen in this product is mind boggling. I can safely say that the wait was worth it.

I'm just glad I was able to get a copy of the game even if it means the re-issue. I'll wait ever so patiently.
Thank you, WM.
