Default Anyone interested in this modification?

    Hi,
I am wondering if anyone is interested in the following project:

    Making a TI-99/4A modded for S-video output.
I don’t think this has ever been done yet, but I have links to a forum where this issue is discussed, and it certainly looks do-able.

The discussion is found at AtariAge at
    http://www.atariage.com/forums/index...ic=105191&st=0
To give credit: Most of the actual discussion of doing this mod is Tursi and djpubba.

I would be very much interested in paying someone to attempt this mod for me, if this project interests you, please PM me for details.

Otherwise, perhaps people have comments about the do-ability of this.

The video chip the TI-99/4A uses is the same (or is at least in the same chipset) as the Colecovision's, so whatever the Colecovision can be modded to do the TI can do also. I've heard the chip (TMS9918?) can also output Warm Chocolate Puddin', so RGB and component mods might also be possible.

The problem seems to be that For NTSC, the Ti’s 9918A outputs composite video directly, while the The 9928 outputs a form of component.

The idea that I linked to is to swap the Ti’s 9918A with a 9928 and using 8bitdomain's CV video mod, but I’m guessing that a custom mod would work too.

I think the 9928 can be taken out of a Coleco (and possibly a UK TI-99/4A, but even better it can be bought from
