    Default Nintendo 64 Joystick?

I've searched the forums here, including the official N64 forum, as well as eBay and Google. But I can't seem to find any kind of joystick for the Nintendo 64. I'm not interested in the standard controller, I want to know if anyone actually made (makes?) a regular joystick for this system.

Don't ask me for what games I want it, as I don't even own an N64. My dog's groomer is actually looking for one and has had no luck.

I always wanted that MadCatz joystick, even before it came out. When it finally was released I was told by an EB manager to stay away from it. Something about the joystick breaking easily.

so yeah, that was the only one released I know of.
You could probably make your own? Or what about another system's joystick + converter?

I've got that Madcatz joystick and it's okay... ish. This is better:

It's called an InterAct Arcade Shark. The stick can be unscrewed and used in the D-pad, but sadly they don't provide two sticks.

I used to have two of those. They're good!

My local pawn shop has had one of those Arcade Sharks for sale for the past 5 years. I think they want $40 for it.

I actually bought a second Arcade Shark just to get the extra screw-in stick for it. With two sticks, Bangaioh is absolutely perfect. The N64 version was already superior to the Dreamcast version, in my opinion, but with the Arcade Shark with two sticks, it's fucking phenomenal.

I do recommend the Arcade Shark to anyone who wants a arcade stick for the N64. It's not the best arcade stick ever; it actually just uses the same rubber mat under the buttons technology as a regular controller, but the buttons still have a decent feel and both the digital and analog sticks feel very nice, in my opinon. Button layout isn't perfect, but it'll do.

Thanks for everyone's help with this. I found the Interact Arcade Shark on eBay and ordered it. The guy was happy and excited!

I wonder how hard it would be to mod one of the madcatz joysticks with a sanwa joystick and buttons? Might be worth a try.
