Default Channel F model 1 power supply repair

As mentioned in this VintageComputing.com post, I don't trust the power supply in my Channel F. How difficult is it to replace this, since it's wired into the system? I'd like to see this thing working again!

I don't have my fairchild infront of me but I'd imagine all you need to do is go to radioshack and get a power supply with the same rating. Then, you just have to open the console up, remove the old power supply wires, and splice the new power supply into it. Make sure you solder positive, negative, and ground to the correct places. All this assuming your power supply is whats broken. Make sure you use an antistatic wristband when handling any electronics.
