i liek gamez
They do actually. While it still hasn't rained today, it was pretty cloudy and gloomy, it made me want to break out either my Jaguar and play Iron Soldier or my 2600 and play a few games on that. Not sure why though.

Same here. Either play a good game or watch a good movie
Heck yeah, though it hasn't really rained here in a while. but its still time to play me some super mario RPG.
I live in San Diego and we don't see any rain at all. I am moving from here in two weeks back to Chicago. I can't wait to see all four seasons again. I can't remeber the last time I actually played a game because it was raining. I think I am going to throw on some Baseball Stars 2 for pete's sake
Yes,for some reason yes..I don't know really why though..
Well InsaneDavid, San Diego is a very big city. When was the last time you visited your "Girlfriend"? I don't remeber rain or this overcast you claim in like almost 8 months . I really do wish it would rain sometimes but you should visit your "Girlfriend" more than every 8 months buddy.
Um, I live with her dude, learn to read. I said I went to visit her parents. Around last April was when I was there last, it was overcast nearly the entire time and it rained off and on from the coast to inland.
Anyway, back on topic - I played Pole Position II on the arcade cabinet quite a bit today while it was raining.
It's funny that someone else mentioned this. Because it was raining all day yesterday here, and all I did was play Sega Genesis, while my roomate sat in the living room playing PS1 all day. So I guess its true.
I get to do my outdoor chores tomorrow, it's supposed to rain here Sunday & I plan to hunker down & play my newly-rediscovered Jaguar on the new 40" Sony Bravia.
AvP, Tempest 2000, & Super BurnOut will be the order of the day.

Hell yes. The Bay just got a down pour and I was like "I better get that Sega CD fuse replaced before the weather changes".

WTF is a Dim-Mac?!?!?
I dont think I've seen rain in near 3 months or something. We're forbidden from watering so the lawn is dying as well. Yep.. gotta love being in a "exceptional drought"
To answer the topic question, absolutely. In general, Winter is my favorite time of the year to play games. Just unbeatable.
I brought this same topic up with icbrkr last week when it was raining in our area. For me I think it stems from the fact that as a kid when it rained my parents would allow me to sit around and play games all day.
I also agree with Steven with winter being my favorite. Whenever we get snow I feel the need to reinstall the first Max Payne on the pc. The combo of the game's setting, the weather outside, and the warmth of a fireplace just makes the game more enjoyable to me.
We saved some guy's life. Killed some vicious murdering lichs and blew up something big. I'd call that a pretty good night.
I definitely tend to play more games in the winter. Winter here means rain. It may also be partly habit, as during my childhood and teens I always got a bunch of videogames for Christmas every year. I no longer exchange Christmas gifts with anyone, but I still feel compelled to spend more money at that time of year anyway. Last year I got a Wii.
Anyway, yesterday was the first major rainfall of the season, and I did play Shadow of the Beast and Fatal Rewind, as well as some games on the first Midway Arcade Treasures.

I've always have the urge to play video game's on rainy days. Wether they are classics are newer games, I love to play.
Yeah, pretty much.
Sunny days, too.
