Default Just finished original Zelda, need new game to play

    Hiya

I have just finished the original zelda for the NES (yeah i know only 20 years too late), and want to play another game in the same vein.

I am tossing up between Golden Axe Warrior for the SMS or Crystalis for the NES.

    Any opinions?

I would try to beat the second quest on Zelda if you only beat the first quest, or try to jump into Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.

Or.. if you want the same goodness but x10, for crying out loud play SNES Zelda - A Link to the Past. The best Zelda of all in my humble opinion

I actually seriously envy those playing it for the 1st time. I wish I could wipe my memory of the game so I could play it fresh!

Definitely Crystalis; it's a superb game. As much as I love the original Zelda and regard it as one of the premier classics, I actually think Crystalis is a better overall adventure game.

    Crystalis!

If you want a side-scrolling action adventure, then Zelda II or The Battle of Olympus.

If your are going to play either Golden Axe Warrior or Crystalis, I'd pick Crystalis.

I just played it for the first time about 6 months ago. Man, it was awesome!! I wasn't too happy with the dark world though...it was too dark. :P
Take his advice & play that.
If you've already played it then maybe you should try Breath of Fire 2 on SNES. That was the game I played immediately after I beat Zelda 10 years ago. I loved it but that may be because it was the first RPG I tried to beat.

Can't go wrong with Crystalis! That game's a blast and would be a good game to play next if you liked the original Legend of Zelda.

If you are going for Zelda, Link to the Past is your game. I prefer this over almost ANY Zelda game out there because of the fun factor and replayability.
