Default Sticky right centric 360 controller

Anyway to fix this? My girlfriend got a controller, the xbox logo (power button) sticks like it's gummy, and when she is holding up on the left control stick, the character move up and right like the alignment is off.

Any good solutions for cleaning and fixing the alignment?

Do you have a security Torx driver (not a bit)?

I don't think so? The only torx screw driver I have is the one compatible with nintendo systems (wii/ds)

That's not Torx, and you need "security" torx.

You need to open the controller and clean it, and that may work. It may not solve your lazy stick issue.

At this point, you might as well just wash it in the sink. Just let it dry a couple of days before you plug it in.

I was going to say that the 360 controller uses philips screws, but then I looked at my wireless controller and noticed that it indeed has torx screws. But the wired controller uses philips, so if you have a wired controller, you can open it. The button should be easy to clean. The joystick may not be.

it's a wired controller. I'm sure the button is just gunky and needs a good cleaning, but is there a way to re-calibrate the left control stick so it goes where it's supposed to?

In order to re-calibrate the joysticks for a 360, just rotate them in a circle 3-4 times. If that doesn't work, either something is wrong electrically, or there's something gunking up the joystick.
