Default Okami - Coming to a Wii near you.

    http://kotaku.com/gaming/rumor-confi...med-312378.php

For some reason I never picked this up on the PS2, but now I'm definitely going to grab it on the Wii. I know a lot of people wanted this to happen, so here it is.

Nice. I've been waiting on a price drop for the PS2 version, but I guess I'll just wait for the Wii version now.

I will only pick this up if it adds some extra content or something, since I already own the ps2 version. If there is no new content the wii controls will haveto be amazingly fun to justify a buy. Also anyone betting it will cost $50 as opposed to the $40 original ps2 price tag?

It's funny, but I recently picked up Okami on sale at TRU a month or two ago when it hit $20 and I admire the artistic style and design of the game, but I really don't get why everyone is so excited about a Wii port. As someone pointed out on another message board, the whole painting and caligraphy portion of the game is a very minor element overall and being able to use the Wiimote for this small element of the game (like maybe 5% of total game time or less) is not going to offset the fact that you need some kind of controller that feels comfortable in your hand like a PS2 pad to play through the meat of the game. The Wiimote is also not the most accurate drawing device as anyone who has played Raving Rabbits knows. I just don't get the excitement and I hope everyone picks it up for the PS2 when it hits the inevitable universal price point of $20 in the coming months rather than waiting until 2008 for the Wii port.

Hey, if it was coming out for X360, you'd have to worry about a $60 price point.

Good to see this game being made for Wii. I picked up Okami not to long ago for $25.

I loved Okami, but absofrigginlutely HATED having to use the Dual Shock analog sticks to draw. Mostly because I CAN'T DRAW WITH AN ANALOG STICK!

The Wii port will be awesome because it'll be much easier to do all the shapes. Hopefully more people will buy this one...

And hopefully this'll make Capcom reopen Clover Studios in one way or another.

This is a pretty cool thing to happen. Game seems to make perfect sense for a wii control scheme. I don't think I'll end up buying it cause I already have it for the ps2 which I bought at the full 40 bucks. I don't think the wii controls will be THAT amazing though, I had no problem with the ps2 analog drawing. It's not very picky how you draw stuff as long as it's close, I actually got kinda lazy with the drawing towards the end game. Only thing I feel is an exception though is the cherry bombs. I got the hang of it, but I screwed up that technique a lot at first.

This game is a perfect fit for the Wii. Anyone who played Okami on the PS2 knows how difficult it was to paint with the analog stick. It's great to see a quality game like this get a second chance.

Sweet! I loved the PS2 game but for one reason or another just never picked it up. I've been hoping for a Wii version for a long time.

Now... who wants Okami 2 on the Wii?

I own the PS2 version, and am on my second run through it (trying to get the last two unlockable videos in the Presents from Issun section).

I am still buying the Wii version, because Okami is just that good. I figure I can show the PS2 version to my PS2-owning friends, and the Wii version to my Wii-owning friends, and either to those who have both.

Hopefully Okami will finally get the praise it deserves from gamers, rather than just from critics.
