Default PSP custom firmware update ?

Hi, guys. I'm running 3.03 oe-b and trying to get the most current custom firmware. Are there any faqs or guides that have detailed explanations to how to upgrade? Or are there any members on the forums here that know how to do it?

any help is much appreciated, thanks!

If I were you, I'd skip the current FW (3.71 m33 I think?) and go with 3.52 m33 -4 instead. I hear the custom version of the most recent firmware is real buggy with emulators still. Sounds like most people that upgrade to 3.71 m33 downgrade back to 3.52 anyway because there's too may problems with it.

This is where I upgraded to 3.52 m33 a few weeks ago. Just download the installer for OE upgrades and install the v4 update after that. Real easy:

    great! Thanks for the reply,

But, not 100% sure what to do.

Do I download the thing where it says "Upgrade from firmware SE, OE or M33 Full Installation Installer" and then download the one above it where it says "3.52 M33 Custom Firmware Update 4 (Only for use, after installing a full installation of 3.52M33 below)"?

    Thanks!!!

Yeah, that's right. You want the "Upgrade from firmware SE,OE, or M33 Full" version because you're already running OE on your PSP right now. After you get that installed, just grab the 3.52 M33 Custom Firmware Update 4 and you're all done.

3.71 M33 has no problems with emulators.

    Thanks for clearing that up!

In all the PSP forums I read, lots of people say they are having problems running emulators in 3.71 M33 and most are downgrading back to 3.52. I haven't tried it out myself though, it's just what I've been hearing.

I'll also chime in, from experience, that 3.71 M33 hasn't cause me any problems with emulators either (not that I play them often). And I *love* having a custom theme.
