    Default Broken Dreamcast

    Hello,
I've got dreamcast console. When I push the power button nothing happens, except of whistle noise from the power supply.
Anyone could tell me what may be broken in that console?
    thanks in advance

my guess would be a blown power supply.

    or a broken motherboard

Maybe a random surge happened in your power lines.

    Thanks for the fast answer,
I measured output voltages of PSU and notice that power supply lacks of 3.3V
    Where should be 3.3 V there's nothing :-)
    So the PSU broken?
edit: Ok psu repaired and now it powers on displays Dreamcast logo on tv and than tells that I should set the date. Unfortunately I can't do nothing, when pressing buttons on joypad nothing happens.
    What's this again ?

I'd just say the Dreamcast is broken and get another one. At this point I'd say the controller port is broken. This type of thing happened to my friend who had a controller with a bug in it. It would destroy his controller ports.

but then again it could of just been the motherboard causing all the trouble all along = /

    It might just be destroyed?

There's a fuse going to each of the controller ports, it's extremely common to blow them. Fix the fuse and the system will probably be good. Sounds like the DC took a pretty good hit from something jucy. Might be better to get a new unit.
