Default Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex

OK, picked it up with targets buy 2 get one free greatest hits sale for the PS2. I LOVE the crash series, Easy to beat, very hard to complete, my type of game.

So what's the problem? It REALLY REALLY SUCKS on the PS2. I couldn't control this little bastard and make him go where I want him to to save my soul.

Is it ANY better on the Gamecube?

    I've got the Gamecube version...

Didn't have any problems controlling Crash, but I got tired of the game a lot quicker than I used to. Not a bad game by any means, just not as good as the first ones.

I do want to say that I really liked the levels in the giant hamster ball, those were fun, although the isometric view was tough to adjust to at times.

Yeah, the load time was my second complaint, that's just ABSURD L.O.A.D.I.N.G. time...

But I REALLY can't get past the control, no IDEA where he's landing when I jump, and he seems to take 2-3 extra steps after I let go of the controller. Then I got to my first swimming stage, and died 5 times within the first 15 feet of the level, shut it off, put it away, and it ain't comin back out.

Cafeman Jr always loved the PSX (Naughty Dog) Crash games, and I grew to enjoy them as well. But Wrath of Cortex is by some C-team on Universal's paycheck, isn't it? From what played & heard of the game , it is mediocre at best, so I never bought it for my Cube.

I played this at a friend's house last time I went. I loved the graphics and the sound but the loading times were hidious and reminded me of waiting for a C-64 disk or an old PSX game to load! Play control didn't feel as good as the PSX titles tohugh, anyone else felt this way?
