    Default #33, NGPC: how'd I do??

All right, I took the dive on a Neo Geo Pocket Color (my 33rd different game system). I found a better deal on one than I had posted about a week or two ago...that one was a silver system, power adapter, and a Sonic game for $60.

This one was a system (silver), and 6 games: Dark Arms, Samurai Shodown 2, Kinf Of Fighters R2, Puzzle Link, Fatal Fury First Contact, Metal Slug First Mission.

    Total price $70

To me it was a good deal, about what I'm seeing it go for on eBay, I'm happy. Although that joystick is a bit unnerving. I'm envisioning it snapping off in a week or two...

Now I need to get Baseball Stars and Turf Masters for sure...any other must gets???

If you like fighting games, you can't go wrong with Match of the Millennium. It's like a mini Capcom vs. SNK. I also loved Card Fighter's Clash.

Oh, and don't worry about the control pad breaking off. If it hasn't broken off for me, even after countless hours of fighting games, it must be quite durable.

Thanks for the reassurance on the control pad...

I'm actually not that big of a fighters fan (ironic considering 50% of the games I got in my bundle were fighters), but I like the Capcom vs. SNK series, so I'll look into that.

And now I remember hearing about Card Fighters Clash. I'll definitely look into. Thanks! Anyone know any more must haves?? I don't remember this one being made into a top 10 list...

After i kicked Butta and took his NGPC i like it, but the SP has me by the balls at this moment. Sonic Adventures and Bust-a-move...both i really like. Haven't had the chance to get much else.
My life and perception has changed, but my principals are the same.

@ Maxlords, it is a fun game, although, all the games were loose. So I don't exactly know the "point" of the game, like what the heck are these Character Cards I'm getting...but it is a good puzzle game!!

Card Fighter Clash is one of the best games for the system,I put in over 20 hours on that game and had fun every second. Also Puzzle Bobble Mini and Puyo Pop are two great puzzle games.

Card Fighters Clash...oh how I love thee! I've been wanting to get my hands on this game for a long while and finally, yesterday, i found the cart in a funky lil gaming store in lower Manhattan. All i can say is that it's easily one of the most addicting games of all time. It takes the town visiting elements of Pokemon, and the card collecting/ battling of stuff like Magic the Gathering. There are like 300 cards to collect (great graphics on em of the SNK and Capcom brawlers): you can get em by winning battles, gambling, trading with other players (human or cpu) and through some RPG-ish styled hunting. Some cards are worth more than others in terms of rarity (I've logged 8 hrs and havent seen an "A" level card yet, except for a special Ryu card some guy trumped me with) some trading with the local yahoos is a must. Only gripe about this game: not enough battle loacations (there are...unless more open when you beat those 5). Regardless, its video game
crack...if you have a NGPC and havent played this you have sinned.

    Dude, I've had it like 8 hours...gimme a chance

Thanks for the advice so far everyone...nice little system...really digging it. BTW, is there a backlight or anything like that? All my directions are in Japanese, and I don't know a heck of a lot about it yet.

No backlight unfortunately, but I hear that the Worm lights are pretty good (supposedly comes with rechargable batts, too). Also, if you havent discovered by the time you read this, you can change the system settings by powering on w/o a game in it (lang select, calendar, horoscope, alarm)

That's the same deal United Game Source (or whatever they're called these days) had at PhillyClassic. A good deal IMHO. Boxes for the games weren't included, however - was that the same deal you got?

Yep DP, that's just what I got...NGP in a plain white box and 6 games w/o box.

I noticed quite a few of these deals on Ebay...except they would have Pac-Man in the place of one of the other games...

and @Jay, yeah, first time I powered up, I didn't have a game, so my games are playing in English...just the system instructions are in Japanese, so I didn't know what functions I may have been missing (I LOVE THE HOROSCOPE!!!!)

The NeoGEo Pocket is a highly underrated system...a buddy of mine bought one at an ELBO just when they went clearance and they're nice. You got a nice deal, Scooter.
All right youngens, bath time. Cover up your eyes and drop your britches! Who wants wax?

Has anybody else seen this deal at EBGames.com?

    http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categorie...p?pf_id=234728

Is this a good deal for a NGPC and 6 games?
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.
