Default Largest size video game item packaging?

Rock band got me thinking, is it the biggest boxed video game item ever sold? If not, what is the biggest? I guess we should use volume as the measurement. I want to keep it as official and gaming related as possible. None of that "game chair" crap you see around at Circuit City or Best Buy.

I think that the video game controller-chair thing for NES or Master System might have had a bigger box volume wise, but I can't even remember what system it is for, as I know nothing about it. Maybe a big NES set comes close too.

I remember the NES Hot Seat's packaging was huge...sadly, my memory is fuzzy, and I haven't seen one in going on two decades now.

I haven't seen it yet but I would compare to Coleco Adam and Steel Battalion.

don't know about the coleco, but the Rock Band box is indeed larger than the Steel Battalion box.

Miracle Piano for the Genesis/SNES/NES may have it beat on length, but I would bet Rock Band would still win on volume.

It would eat the Steel Batalion box for breakfast. The SB boxi is a smidge taller, but Rock Band box has another good third in size length to it over the SB box. When I saw one at GS a few days back I was stunned by the size.

What we need is a damn Rock Band box picture so people can understand the sheer size of that bohemoth. I think I shall go look for one.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I wanted to keep it to retail stuff. I bet this came in a plain cardboard box and was mail order only. Same goes for kiosks and items that wouldn't typically be meant for one of us collectors/gamers on the forums.

For the "arcade machines" even those were meant for retail I don't want to count them, maybe because those things are such crap they shouldn't count by default.

Miracle Piano is a good one I hadn't thought of, though it probably is smaller than Rock Band volume-wise.

Anyone have an Adam box? I want to see that beast.
