the problem with lists like this are that everyone has different tastes...hell a guy on page one says Uniracers sucks...and on page 2 someone else says put it back in! It will be impossible to do this, and it will only cause fights..you know im right :P...

That's why the majority rules...people suggest things, games are discussed...and then they can vote on what to keep or what to get rid of.

hmm... From that list, I think I would take out:

    Alien 3
    Battletoads in Battlemaniacs
    Cybernator
    Final Fight
    Metal Marines
    Simcity
    Space Megaforce
    Stunt Race FX
    Super R-Type
    Super Smash TV
    Zombies ate my Neighbors

Although all the above are great games, I don't believe they deserve to be on the top 50 list. Personally, I would replace them with:

    Another World\Out of this World
    Batman Returns
    Castlevania: Dracula X\Vampire Kiss
    Demons Crest
    Flashback
    Gods
Jim Power - Lost Dimension in 3D
    Prince of Persia
    Super Ghouls and Ghosts
    Super Turrican I
    Super Turrican II

    There, justice is served

I would have to protest about Zombies...this game MUST remain in the list. And Super Turrican 1 and II? I don't know if we need two spots being taken up from games of the same series. Is it that good? I'd probably like to see Super Smash TV stay on the list but I'm not as vehement about that one as I am Zombies Ate My Neighbors...

If you haven't played the Turrican games, I definitely recommend you try them out - especially Super Turrican II is one of the most well-programmed SNES games out there.

But I understand what you mean about having two games from the same series on the list.

Solution: we put the two Turrican games together as Super Turrican I+II, and we leave Zombies in there as well. Problem solved

Breath of Fire I & II...they both easily replace Secret of Evermore

and where is Genghis Khan II: Clan of the Gray Wolf? That game was awesome!

What about Super Buster Bros.? That game is awesome, if you haven't you look for a copy, before they get too hard to get(it's R6). Trust me, it's worth it.

So that makes two games that need to be on the list(Super Buster Bros. and Street Racer)

    Castlevania: Dracula X\Vampire Kiss
    definately

dkc2 was also tops 3 was a bit of a yawn but still alright and better than most, Super Double Dragon is so much better than any battletoads game it isn't even funny only the arcade game could put up a fight...

I'd say the nostalgia factor is kicking in way to high with this list.....

really you can't have top anything without least one sports game. Tecmo Super Bowl or Tecmo Super Bowl Final Edition would fit the bill. Best football games on the SNES and easily deserve at least one spot ont the top 50 list.

I'd like to add Super Valis IV! =D I think the Valis series is great. Definitely something that should be added. Hopefully a new title will be developed. =) That could be really cool.

    That's my 2 cents.
I think your wrong. At top 50, I think that a lot of people will have about 30 games or so in common. I think that with a top 10 only about 2 or 3 games will be in common.
I made my own list and compared it to theaveng's list and we had 23 games in common. I did how ever like these games rather than some.

    Uniracers
    Lamborghini American Challenge
    Aerofighters
    Metal Combat
    Ninja Gaiden Trilogy
    Stunt Race FX
    Battleclash
    Soldiers of Fortune
    Earth Worm Jim
    Earth Worm Jim 2
    Super Return of the Jedi
    Jungle Strike
    Killer Instinct
    King Arthur's World
    Lethal Enforcer
    Spider-man and X-Men
    Maximum Carnage
    Saturday Night Slam Masters
    Sparkster
    Spawn
    Vegas Stakes
    Turn N Burn
    Urban Strike
    WWF RAW
    X-Men Mutant Apocalypse
    Super Ghouls N Ghosts
    TMNT Tournament Fighters

We had in common MMX, MM7, FF3, TMNT4, SF2, Cybernator/Metal Warriors, SMW, SMAS, DKC, StarFox, Battletoads, MK Series, Kirby SS, LOZ, Rock N Roll Racing, SM RPG, Super Punch-OUt, SMK, F-Zero, Chronotrigger, Super Metroid, Super Castlevania 4, and Earthbound.

Some people haven't played it cause they don't want to pony up the money. I can't blame them, though I love it.

yeah AF is a solid game the only thing I disliked about it is that for me, to get maximum enjoyment out of it (and reduce the chances of my wrist falling off) I got to play this sucker with an auto-fire controller. To me the non "rapid" option for a shooter past the NES always bugged me. There should be at least the option of playing it rapid or not.

BTW, at one point, I owned as many as 3 AF copies

    1. eBay BIN $35 shipped, hell of a deal as I would later find out (they hit as high as 90, back here I thought 35-40 was its rate) Kept this copy

    2. flea market (traded for it with 4 VHS fighting game movies I couldn't PAY anyone to get rid of online!) Sold this sucker for $50

    3. little store out in my area, $25 which I eBayed and sold for $53

In essence, I got my original copy... for free, and THEN SOME!
