There is a one day grey NWC auction on ebay. It was reported on nintendoage that the same # sold or was offered last year on ebay yet this seller claims he found it at a flee market.

Thanks for the headsup. I had a bid in for $400 and was outbid. Was thinking of going higher (a pretty good amount higher) but I think I'll just wait for another time.
Good, I just got outbid, Watch it be legit though. Sorry Balloon Fight I was the one I think outbidding you.
Who said so? Do they remember for certain if it sold or didn't? It's one or the other, if they can't remember that how can the recollection of a number be reliable?
Not long ago there was a thread on Nintendo Age that pointed out an NWC hidden in a NES lot on ebay before it had ended, it got deleted in an attempt to divert attention from that auction. Really questionable sleight of hand bullshit if you ask me. Smells like more of the same here to scare away bidders.
Nintendoage actually has a picture of this exact cart in their database, and if you look close, you can tell it's actually the same exact picture cropped down. Take a lot for yourself.

I would be very wary of this auction.
If Buyatari was trying to scare away bidders, why would he even mention it in the first place (thus drawing attention to it)?
Yup...it is indeed the same cart.
Indeed...the fact that it's a one day auction only adds to the suspicion.I would be very wary of this auction.
I never said Buyatari was specifically a part of any misinformation or conspiracy, I only asked for clarification on who originally made the claim. Are you dense? I guess so.
My suspicion was that those moderating Nintendo Age would want to deride interest in another NWC auction for their inner circle to benefit from. But now that it's apparent the image was stolen it's the person behind the ebay listing running a scam.
This one had SOOOO many things wrong with it that it NEEDED to be pointed out. I didn't say DON'T bid but be careful if you do.
All that being said I'd rather risk spoiling a real auction (there will be other grey NWCs) than sitting back and watching someone get ripped off for 1-2k.
looks fishy - check out his past feedback comments. They seem to be written by the same person.
Everything about this auction just looks bad. I hope no one gets ripped off on this thinking they are getting a nice addition to their collection.
DreamTr bought it and has a friend who lives in the area who will inspect the cart before paying.
The two pictures are the same, true. You can see the hand on the left where he tried to cut the picture. Goodness this is so obvious...
Lol..

I'm not saying don't bid.......hell its your money.
If Jason doesn't think it's authentic, i'm pretty inclined to believe him...
