    Default The region-free NES mod...

... the one where you cut the 4th leg of the lockout chip, this will make it play any game you want, but if you do this on a PAL NES, will the games run in 60hz or in 50?

If not, what can be done to play games in 60hz on a PAL NES?

No, it wont make a PAL machine run in 60Hz. It wont even make it play any game you want. Rougly 95% of the games will work though.

i'd say less than 95% probably more like 70% without probs, some games do have issues

yes buy an american top loder, that one is region-free or buy an american toaster and do the mod.. then buy a copy of gyromite from the states, one of the heavier ones and wreck it for a 72>60 pin adaptor to play the japanese games

allternativly buy a famicom with a 60>72 pin adaptor, that way you can play famicom games properly and take advantage of the extra sound chips/graphics some games had
