The current rarest item I'm aware of in my collection is a great condition, CIB copy of Meteorites for the Atari 5200 at a rarity of 8 both on DP and AA. There's one listed on eBay that's CIB at the moment for $239 BIN, which is crazy. Mine was found in the wild for $5 at a game store that cares more about Final Fantasy and Zelda than Atari titles.

    My rarest items:

Hello Kitty Dreamcast (but it's not complete, just console & keyboard)
    Shiawase Usagi 1, 2 & Sailor Z (PC Engine)

Beyond that I don't think I have a lot of rare stuff, just cool things to show off, like Saga Frontier & Brave Fencer Musashiden Square Millennium Collections, Sakura Wars A-Type L.E., Final Fantasy II WonderSwan bundle, stuff like that. The only "rare" US released stuff I have is like... the Dragon Warrior series or a FZ-1 3DO. . Nothing terribly rare.

My rarest would be Dinoland and Soccer Shootout on Genesis and SNES, both boxed, but unfortunately there is writing on the boxes. The first i got at a yard sale, the latter was mine as a kid. I also have a CIB copy of Kirby's Dreamland 3, like brand new, as well as quite a few other CIB SNES games, such as Kirby Super Star, Scooby Doo Mystery and Tetris Attack. I also have one of the Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World cartridges. Finally, i have a 4-port Atari 5200, unfortunately lacking the power adapter, and a CIB copy of SimTower on the PC.

and then I also have Tomba!....

For some reason i feel my CIB Pinocchio game is very valuable...

Thanks for the notice, but I don't think I'll go for it. It's cool that it's flipped inside-out, but I'd more want it if it was a misprint, like both sides printed on one side (don't know how that'd happen, but that'd be cool).

Also, newest rare game - Guilty Gear PSOne.

Eh, I don't have much rare stuff (at least I don't think I do), but the only thing I can think of is a never-opened, still-shrinkwrapped copy of Sonic Blast (c. 1996) for Sega GameGear. I somehow managed to receive two copies of the game, playing one and never opening the other. I found it over the summer and I was like "woah".

Sadly, probably Rad Racer II. I sold most of my collection, then lost my job when it came time to start rebuilding.

I'm not sure how many rare games I have, but probably a few fairly rare. One surprise is the Japanese version of Ys Book I & II on the PC Engine CD. I checked it out on DP's list, and it's a "6". Apparently it's "very uncommon/borderline rare". The strange thing is that I picked it up in quite decent condition for 100yen... in one of the main game shops in Akihabara of all places. I would've thought this game was very common.

I also picked up PC Genjin 3 for 100yen, but didn't realize that it took some effort to find. Am I just lucky or something?

    Default Zelda Test Cartridge and...

Ok so I must admit that it's not mine, but a good friend of mine has a copy of Zelda that is a yellow cartridge labeled with a trimmed down 3x5 card with "Zelda" written on it and taped down with clear package tape. The only other test cartridges I've seen have the actual label, same as the retail copies, on it. He has ran through the entire game both quest and everything that is supposed to be there is. He currently has it locked up in a safe deposit box.

I have nothing of my own worth noting anymore, I used to have a copy of... damn I don't even remember anymore. I was too young and it was too long ago (close to 20yrs now), anyway it had several instances of irregularities compared to the walkthrough in GamePro and other copies of the game I played. Does anyone know of any NES games were 2 versions made it to the shelves?

Oh, i nearly forgot the NES Tetris games! Tengen had a copy that was on the shelves for a short while, til Nintendo sued or whatever and replaced all Tengen's copies with Nintendo's, I think Tengens are much more valuable

It would have to be my Shining Force Premium Disc, though its rarity is unrated here I'd say it'd be a R4 or R5.

Most likely the Starfox Weekend cart. I just don't see why I paid $150 for a 5 minute demo, though... haha

Value wise it's probably my SNES Earthbound cart. I got it 10 years ago for $10-15 dollars.

Rarity wise I don't have anything super rare. Do have two uncommon titles (Inspector Gadget and Clayfighter Tournament Edition for the SNES.)

My highest rarities discovered in my collection so far are a few 7's on the rarity scale. I have a CIB Sea Duel game for Microvision, a CIB Bignose Freaks Out game for NES, and I just bought a loose Aladdin Deck Enhancer and a loose Dizzy the Adventurer game for it off ebay for $40 after shipping (exactly the price the online rarity guide says you should spend on it)

And we all know it is hard to find games on ebay for or under that specified price most of the time. I will just be happy to try something new for my NES.

    EDIT:

Oh my Gunfighter/Moonship Battle game for RCA Studio II is an 8 on the scale, so that's the big one. It's CIB too.

I'm a collector, but only to a certain extent.
Not as extreme as Rickstilwell though.[/quote]

Hmmm, not sure about rarity so much but I'd say my: PC Engine Duo-r, Akumajo x68000 (complete with reg card and extra user disk), and a bunch of pricey DC and PCE SHMUPS

My rare stuff is a statue for Yoshi's island (Yoshi and baby mario) that I won in a work contest through Nintendo (Only 500 were made).

    -A top loader NES
-a mint Chrono Trigger (SNES) that I got for $5
-several autographs (castlevania producer, artist for Shin Megami etc)
    -Complete Earthbound
    -New copy of Suikoden II
-Promotional Final Fantasy VII phone card
-A light box Final Fantasy VII Poster that was a Best Buy display
    -Zelda DS

That is all I can think of currently. Funny you think you only have an item or two but then when you think about replacing items the list grows.
