Your collecting goals for 2008

It's a new year, and I'm sure many of you have some goals for your collection. Want to get 300 Genesis games? Want to complete a system? Going for that R7 that's been eluding you? Want to get a complete Tengen collection on the NES? Share your goals with us!

My definite goals:
-Hit the 1000 mark. I'm currently at 925.
-200 NES games. I'm currently at 174.
-100 PS2 games. This won't take too long since I'm currently at 96.
-50 N64 games. Like the PS2, this won't take too long since I'm currently at 48.

Possible goals:
-200 SNES games. I'm currently at 181, but there's not much left that I really want to get, and unlike with the NES, I don't buy SNES games as frequently as I used to. This depends on how good my SNES finds are and how close I get to 200 over the year.
-Acquire Aero Fighters for the SNES, if I have a chance to get it at a reasonable price.

I don't really have any specific goals but these things will likely happen in 2008 unless I decide to clear out some of my collection

reach 500 U.S. Genesis titles (I'm in the area of 460)
reach 100 snes titles (I'm at about 85)
reach 100 n64 titles (about 80 currently)
reach 300 nes titles (about 240 currently)
get a wii (I've been close to breaking down and buying one for a while and it'll probably happen in the next 12 months)
clear out my "for sale" pile and quit buying stuff I already own unless there is an easy profit potential in buying it

1. Get to 650 NES games (im at 600 now)
2. Finish SMS collection or close.
3. Get a boxed Jaguar
4. Get a boxed 3DO
5. Get a boxed JVC X EYE
Thats would be pretty sweet.

I want to get to 200 X-box 360 games (I am currently at 161).

Also get to 100 Dreamcast games (only 10 there)

I don't have many goals...I'm satisfied with what I have for most systems but would like to reach 150 GameCube games. I only need 9 more games to reach that...finding 9 more games I actually would be interested in playing may be the tough part.

Right now its:

1. Try and finish up PSone long box variants - known and unknown
2. Try and finish up PSone Greatest Hits - known and unknown
3. Try and get closer to all the demos - known and unknown
4. Trim back other parts of the collection that I don't use to help pay debt.

#2 Acquire a JAMMA Cabinet
#3 Get over 50 PC-engine/Duo CD and Hucards
#4 Get Radiant Silvergun and Shining force III without having to sell crack.

My goal/plan is to not go broke. So far my goal/plan SUCKS!

- Easy: Hit 400 PS2 games. Hard: Hit 450 (currently at 381)
- Easy: Hit 175 Xbox games. Hard: Hit 200 (currently at 152)
- Easy: Hit 75 Gamecube games. Hard: Hit 100 (currently at 68)

It's getting harder and harder to find games I'm interested in at prices I'm willing to pay and in conditions that I'm willing to accept, so even the "easy" goals might be a bit tricky to hit.

My big goal is to break the 600 mark on the nes (I'm around 570 with some easy to snag ones to go). Other than that prolly just beef up the 64 collection.

Haven't set any so this will be a good brainstorming...

1.) Complete Saturn and Genesis collections (I'm really close, just a few high ticket games for each remaining; excludes Blockbuster and Outback Joey...)
2.) Get close to completing a Dreamcast and TG-16 collection. I have around half for each system now.
3.) Look into collecting for some systems I have ignored thus far - Commodore 64 carts, Atari XE, others...
The following aren't so much collecting...
4.) Get at least a couple A/V modded systems to work towards eliminating Rf connections.
5.) Getting working Atari 5200 and 7800 controllers...
6.) Buy a 9800 GTX....

I'd like to have a Sega-filled 2008.

1. Complete 32x collection (20 of 36)
2. 250 Genesis (currently at 145)
3. 100 Saturn (currently at 59)
4. 75 dreamcast (currently at 37)
5. 35 sms (currently at 16)
6. 25 sega cd (currently at 7)

I'd also like to reach 1000 unique games, currently at 720.

Get the last two PlayStation long box games I'm missing - FIFA '96 Soccer and Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV. That shouldn't be too hard.
Perhaps finish off the Xbox. I'm at 866 and swallowing my pride by actually HUNTING for some Xbox SpongeBob Squarepants games (Shudder). Try to make a definate decision whether or not to pick up the bundle versions of Dance Dance Revolution's, Pump It Up Exceed, Xbox Music Mixer and Karaoke Revolution's for the dance pads and microphones. Mind you I'm musically and rhythmically challenged and will NEVER want to actually play any of them.

My goal is to try to get around 500 playstation games, I'm currently sitting on 220-240, somewhere in there.

2. Complete Saturn PAL collection (3 more)
3. NES to 75 boxed & complete (45 more)
4. Sega Master System back to as it was before I sold most of it (had about 50 games at one point, now I have 3)
5. Xbox to 850 (17 more)
6. Xbox 360 to 125 (41 more)
7. XBLA to full set at end of year (currently 6 more - roughly one released every week - so 58 more)

1. Finish my MegaTen collection, including all imports - only a few to go.
2. Aquire a 64DD + games.

Not much else comes to mind. I'm close to finished in regards to collecting games from previous generations.

3) 2 SNES "Not For Resale" carts
4) 3 GBA "Not For Resale" carts

6) 2 PS2 trade demos
7) 2 PS1 trade demos
8) 50 standard demo discs
9) Xbox 360 or a PS3

Hmm, last year I picked up a few of my personal grails: Rondo of Blood and Bounty Bob Strikes back.

Most of my goals revolve around finding the time to play and beat games I already own, buuuut...

I would like to:

1) pick up an Atari 7800 again
2) get a Neo-Geo cab
3) get some more Jaguar stuff
4) get some more Atlus stuff for the gaming backlog before it gets harder to find...
5) track down Burning Rangers and Earthworm Jim: Special Edition

collecting-wise, i generally only buy R8 and upwards...i've got a bunch of atari games lined up for starters: motorodeo, quadrun, mangia. i check the internet daily for my personal holy grails though.
