Atari 2600 Activision Patch Contest - Winners announced

Over the past couple days I have made quite a bit of progress towards having all of the carts fully completed. I apologize for the delays, but it will be worth the wait once they are done!

I'm a little disappointed I didn't actually attempt any of these (I don't have a 2600 hooked up currently), but if Vectorman wants to pick another random winner, I'll let them pick three games (chuck norris and artillery duel combo cart would count as two) from the atari 2600 section of my for sale list as a second random prize. If you want to do this, Vectorman, you can direct the random winner to my sale list http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=114561 and have them pick out 3 atari 2600 titles and have them give me their address. Nothing super rare in that list but there are some uncommon titles left and hopefully some stuff not everyone has. I figure the few bucks for shipping will be my punishment for not taking part in this contest and motivate me for the next contest like it.

I appreciate the offer, but I think I will pass. I actually have a second random prize of my own already. I encourage you to go for the patches, even if there is no potential prize. I'm still trying to come up with something that is cheap and easy for me to procure and then give away that would be enough encouragement for continued participation even though the original contest has ended.

On a side note I would like to cast my vote for the effort to gain more patches to continue. As long as others would like to as well I think it would be fun. I finally qualified for Kaboom!, after many, many tries.

I'll be making a post after this one to announce the prizes. I just have to do the random drawings.

If more people want to keep on going for patches, I think it would be great. If there was enough interest, I would make another topic and then get a duplicate of the spreadsheet that could be updated further (so the final standings could be maintained elsewhere). If anyone else is interested in this, speak up!

Thanks a ton for the great prizes, it was a great time. I would love to keep going for patches as well. Are you giving a new spreadsheet for the rest of the games? I have an idea for another contest, we could do a patch style contest for every Activision game that didn't have a patch. We'd just have to set the scores that should be attained and then go for it. I would love to pitch in for some prizes as well.

No need to apologize, I should understand more than most how stuff comes up and life gets in the way. (take a look at the current issue of Retrogaming Times Monthly, which is very lean and missing any contributions from me ) I remember reading the thread where you were discussing making cartridge labels with Frankie_Says_Relax and figured that it would only be fair for all prizes to be sent out only after they all were ready. I was playing some Grand Prix tonight and the contest came to mind, which is why I looked up this thread. I'll reply to your PM in just a moment.

Once the top prize cartridges are made please post some pictures, I'd love to see how they turned out.
