    Default PAL/NTSC Master System question

    I finally got around to picking up a *working* Master System. My love for Sega didn't kick in till the Genesis so I never got to experience the SMS. Alot of people have told me that some of the best games were PAL, is SMS a region free system? and if so what are some recommended PAL games worth playing?
    Some things never die....Give me all your Sega belongings!!!
