    Default JVC X'Eye Lens Problems

    Hi Friends,

    Well i hope some one can help me.

    I have problems with my X´Eye the system not read games just music cds.

    There is some where a tutorial to calibrate the lens o someone know how to fix this?

    I really hope fix it (Any info is welcome).

    Wait a second,before trying to calibrate the lens,Have you tried cleaning the Lens mirror?..not the actual lens top view,but the mirror inside of it...The worst feeling is when you are starting dismantling things just to realize that is was just a minor issue.

    Also, the X'Eye uses the same laser that most SEGA Saturns use. These lasers cannot be purchased cheaply new anywhere as far as I'm aware, but Saturns are easier to find than X'Eye's.

    I been searching for info and i find that the X`Eye has a common problem with lid close switch. I keep trying to fix it and i tell you how is going.

    If the lid switch in your system is bad it won't read anything as it'll always think the lid is open.

    Just PM'ed with this...

    Wait... when you have a SCD game inserted and you close the lid you make sure to move the little finger pointer up to "GAME" and select it, right? The JVC X'Eye will not autoload SCD games the way the SCD1 and SCD2 do. Try that if you haven't, it might not be directly apparent to do so at first.

    Way too simple but let's see...
