I just added the cover of the new issue of Nintendo Power to the list in the original post:

Nintendo Power 226 (March 2008): Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

I've done up a quick and dirty checklist for Nintendo Power issues (up through 228, Final Fantasy IV [DS]). It can be downloaded on My Website. Hope it's as helpful for others as it seems to be for me.

edit: to add to your list:

227 (April 2008): Mario Kart Wii
228 (May 2008): Final Fantasy IV

I'm not 100% sure as my new subscription hasn't kicked in yet. If it's not out, it should be out soon.

edit: here's a link claiming that it is, in fact, hitting mailboxes now.

While I now see that the May 2008 date is rather incongruous, I actually meant to ask if Final Fantasy IV was out yet.

I'm pretty sure that it's not. No sites have had it for sale and I haven't seen it in stores.

Nintendo Power 027 (August 1991): Mega Man in Dr. Wily's Revenge (first cover to feature a Game Boy game)
Isn't that the NP-issue with Tetris on the cover?

Nintendo Power 033 (February 1992): Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project

This was my very first issue I got through subscription. I'll never forget how excited I was pulling it out of the mailbox.

    Thanks for making the list!

The cover of issue 9 features Tetris, but the boy is holding an NES Max controller, not a Game Boy. Thus, issue 27 is the first to feature a Game Boy game: Mega Man in Dr. Wily's Revenge.

    Thanks!

EDIT: I just found 227 and 228 online and added them to the list in the original post.

I like how all the early covers are these awesome hand drawn works or photographs.

    Now it's all clip art......

    Awesome. Thanks, Namzep!

Nintendo Power should release another supplement with 40 old posters from 1988 to 1995.

Yeah, those early covers were great. Then, computer rendered graphics hit the scene and became the cool new thing.

I originally overlooked this, but am checking it out now. I like how you separated the issues by year. I'm going to steal your idea and update the original post.

Do the Nintendo Power Advance issues at the bottom of your list have dates? They're Nintendo Power supplements, right? I vaguely remember the first issue or two.

I haven't been able to find any dates on them but I've been busy working on other stuff. If I track them down, I'll be sure to post in the thread.

edit: The dates I seem to be finding for Advance are as follows:

    001 - Apr 2001
    002 - Jul 2001
    003 - Oct 2001
    004 - Jan 2002

I am sure about the years but not 100% crystal on the months.

Thanks for the info. I've been looking online and it seems like those four issues only list the year they were printed, not the month or quarter. I've added them to the original post under the 2001 and 2002 sections.
