Default Easiest way to clean the PSP

    Hi there,

Recently, I had my idiot sister spill an entire can of pepsi on my PSP (Original). Now, the console still works, but the D-pad, buttons, and even the power switch have all become VERY sticky. are there any recommendations on what to use to clean the system up?

All you are looking to do is remove the faceplate. Unscrew all the outer screws and the two black screws behind the battery pack (Silver ones don't hold the face plate on). Also, don't forget to get the silver screw on the bottom. Once those are out, the faceplate will come right off. Make sure you don't touch the LCD, it is easy scratched. From there it is a cake walk. Toothbrush and some windex is what I use to clean all the systems I work on. Watch out for the dust settling on the faceplate and the LCD when re-assembling. Rubbing Alc. will do you just fine too.
