Default Starfox "NOT FOR RESALE" Cart?

I saw a Starfox cart at the flea market that looked exactly like a normal cartridge, but there was a small white box with red letters saying "not for resale." I don't think this was a the Super Weekend competition cart or anything, but just maybe a demo or a bundle cart.

Did SNES ever come bundled with Starfox? Any info?

Don't recall a Star Fox system pack-in. I'd say it's most likely a kiosk demo cart. They were pushing the Super-FX hard back then.

So don't keep us in suspense, did you buy the cart? If it was cheap enough, I would take a chance. Keep us up to date.

If it is the same as the one listed on http://retrogamer72.bravehost.com/starfox.html then it is definitely a kiosk cartridge. I would say its probably worth at least $15-$20 in good condition

    That's it.

No, I didn't buy it. The top of the label (where it bend over the top of the cart and has the title in smaller letters) was ripped of. Besides, I already have Starfox.

If you find a Super Weekend in the wild you'll instantly know it by looking at it (unless the label is seriously mangled). Totally different label than the kiosk and retail carts.

NHL Stanley Cup. I have one with a "Not for resale, demo game only, property of Nintendo" sticker on its back anyway.

Is there any difference between Super Weekend and the retail copy of Starfox? What I mean to say does this demo feature a different version of a level found in the retail version of Starfox? Anyone know why they made two different demo carts?

I haven't even bothered firing up a rom to see the actual difference in the games cause it never really interested me to tell the truth.

There are no differences between the regular releases and the "not for resale, demo only" releases of the games. There might be slight differences in the code but they don't effect gameplay. I have played Tetris Attack Demo extensively and the passwords work for the regular release and the game plays exactly like the others. Same with all the other games as far as I can tell. At one time I had about 8-10 demos, then I sold most of them. I still have the sports ones, didn't think it was worth listing them. BTW, the "not for resale, demo only" copies that are generally referred to are only the ones with labels printed with this on them. They were designated for the factory as demos. Contrary, any game can have one of those "not for resale, demo only, property of nintedo, etc" stickers placed on them. Their values are less stable then the factory demos, as it really only what someone is willing to pay for them.

Super Starfox Weekend is a different animal all together. They too were disignated as a "demo" from the factory though they were only available to winners/contestant of the Super Weekend Competion or through the Nintendo Power Catalogue of there abouts. They never hit store until the second hand market. The game is completly different then the consumer released Star Fox. It is a timed event similar to the NWC. Roms are available on the internet.
