Checked out a few different places yesterday. Here's what I got:

    Super NES:
Lethal Enforcers (cart only) - $2.99 at Goodwill

    GBA e-reader:
Donkey Kong 3-e (new) - $2.99 at GameStop

    Other:
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Brady Games strategy guide for Xbox/PC - $2.99 at Goodwill

I sold the GTA: SA guide to a friend for what I paid for it. He recently bought the Xbox version of the game and told me to keep an eye out for a guide for him. Lethal Enforcers is in great shape.

Got these NES games in the mail today:

    Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt
    Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Yes, I have close to no NES games, so I'm a happy potato today Anyone want to help me build a somewhat decent PAL/SCN collection?

Tecmo Super Bowl (NES, loose) with manual - $2
Super Mario Bros 2 (NES, loose) - $1

A couple of PC games for $5... One was Ringworld, brand new, and the other was called Magic. I forget the rest of the name but it sells for more than $20 on eBay. :P

I also got a Kingdom Hearts II strategy guide for a buck.

Oh yeah, I found a new copy of the Beatmania bundle for PS2 for $35 at Toys'R'Us.

Yeah, that's it. It's the floppy disc version, though.

Gauntlet II & Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde (NES)

Sealed NES games! I got these today at a used book store. They were both $10. Not very cheap, but I couln't resist. I still can't resist opening these. The fact that Dr. J & Mr. H is one of the worst games of all time keeps the shrinkwrap safe. And I have multiple versions of Gauntlet.

Sprit of Speed 1937 (Sega Dreamcast)

$4.00. Never heard of it. Now it's mine.

I think it was cheap for this Rare Demo. The NTSC Wii cost me later maybe the same price.

I picked up almost 200 ps1 games for $120. About 140 of them were loose and the rest were complete. Additionally, about 40 of the loose ones had the original manuals but no back insert.

Some more Gamecube games and I finally got ahold of Tetris DS. That will teach me to hold off on buying games I really want.

What is with so many thrifts and some pawns selling things like records and games for $1 each? Over those years I've been digging minimum wage has increased, some inflation and higher costs to living but these items stay $1, not more and no less. Don't know why but this has been bothering me today, is it the simple aspect of "it's a buck?"

Yup, was the way I got through low value duplicate stuff when I would sell at the flea market. Back when my sisters were younger and there were a zillion little toys they no longer wanted I'd sell them either as a big bag for $10.00 or 25 cents each. All the money from that stuff would get chipped into a can that my uncle and myself (since we were the two that would go to the flea market) would split. After the end of the day there'd usually be about $60.00 in there on average.

"Oh, it's just a quarter! Go ahead and buy a dozen of these toys."

Of course anything under $1, if it's attractive then buy it unless it's a pile of dung. If you're attracted to that then you're either a gardener or very strange. Just about the only item I can find around here for $0.45 are 45's. How ironic?

I did a trade today from a kid at my school:

I traded him my loose copy of Road Rash 3D (PSOne) for his loose copy of Game Watch Gallery 2. I don't keep loose PSOne games, and I got a good GB game out of it.
    i liek gamez
