Default One of the best sealed copies of Chrono Trigger I've seen

I am very interested in buying this item and was wondering what you guys thought of its condition.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...id=p2759.l1259

Its one of the best I've seen and may make the plunge depending on what you guys think.

    Thanks

Okay then, sorry for the suspicion. It's just that a brand new registered user posting a topic related to eBay as his introduction to the community usually raises a few eyebrows.

Personally, I find that if someone needs to ask others weather or not they should bite the bullet, then it's probably not worth it.

It looks factory fresh to me... though personally I think it's insane that you're willing to spend over $400 on it.

what's USAs obsession with sealed games nowadays? I mean you guys thrown away the packaging in the first place.

My "weather" doesn't talk to me...yet! How did you get yours to do such a thing? Whether or not you give us the answer is up to you but this could be a big money-making idea!

Very nice indeed, the game looks like it was in a time capsule since 1995. But is it worth over $400 ? Not to me.

To each his own I guess. I have quite a lot of genesis games that were brand new and never opened but I opened them all because I got them cheap enough. I wouldn't personally spend 400+ on a sealed game - maybe if I finished my collection and wanted to add a nice touch to it but other wise...no

I'm sure it will go much higher than 400. If it ends below 600, I'll be disappointed.

No game is worth over $100 in my opinion. I guess if I had loads of cash, I'd think otherwise... That saying, that looks to be in very mint condition. How much was this game when it first came out? I'd guess $69.99 to $79.99.

If you're the high bidder, you already "took the plunge". Why would you bid first and then try to ask for assistance? There are quite a few mint/sealed copies of Chrono Trigger out there. Not enough for everyone who wants one, I'm sure, but quite a few nonetheless. They all pretty much look like the one in the auction, but pictures can be very deceptive. Good luck.

These people don't understand how cool it is to have sealed versions of the greatest games ever. I attempted to have a sealed Chrono Trigger and sealed Final Fantasy 7, but both turned out to be re-sealed and fake. If I had the $$$ I would pay top dollar, as these are pieces of cultural history, and they WILL go up in value at a rate which will outperform the stock market. In 40 years, I wouldn't be surprised for a sealed Chrono Trigger to be worth a million.

Remember, ours are the first generation for gaming. RPGs will continue to come out as long as we're alive. Our generation have yet to become mega-millionaires, but just wait for some CEO in 2035 to take up gaming as their collection - not fancy instruments or Pollock paintings but classic, sealed games. CHRONO TRIGGER will be one of their centerpieces. My advice is to GET IT, and enjoy your retirement
