Neither game sold that well, as far as I could tell. Series diehards got them I'm sure, but very few new adopters I'd think.

If you're looking for one, it must be a regional thing.

More than half of the 30+ GameStops in my area have used copies of X7, maybe a third with X8.
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

in nyc, both games are marginally hard to find in GS. id say only 1-2 of them in the 11 gamestops i normally check out.

i have to add, both games are rather bad, which could explain their poor sales and demand.

X7 is terrible, yeah. It's slow, awkward, and the 3d moments have such a terrible camera you can never judge distance so you're always jumping into holes.

But X8 returns to it's 2d roots and is genuinely good. I'd rank it up with X4. The physics are closest to Maverick Hunter X on the PSP but possibly a little faster.

I see X7 in the wild quite a bit. X8 seems to be a little scarce, but neither game is that tough to find around here.

At work, there's 5 or 6 copies of x7 on clearance for 10 bucks. Truthfully, I don't think they're that hard to find. You can still find em in bargain bins in many major stores.
