    Default Best Armored Core?

I played though the first two installments years ago on the Psone. Of all the sequels which are the best?

From what I've read Nexus and Last Raven are the best on ps2. Are they as difficult as the reader reviews say?

    How is the Xbox360 version?

My favorite Armored Core is actually still Master of Arena (third PS1 release). Starting with Armored Core 2: Another Age, they just got too god damn difficult for me. Guess I liked it more when it was just a slightly more complicated third person shooter.

Didn't care for the Armored Core 4 demo and didn't bother picking it up.

The last few for the PS2 finally got analog stick controls, that lack of controls in the earlier PS2 titles really hurt their playability in my opinion.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Personally (huge fan of the series) I thought the best were the first 3 for the PSone, especially Master of Arena. I am really getting into 4, I thought that the PS2 series had a great sim/customization aspect but weren't that fun, the whole arcadey feel of 4 is just refreshing!

the 360 AC (i guess its 4) is really fun and not too over the top hard, as long as you spec your raven properly. the demo is very very unrepresentative of the actual game. all the demo is good for, honestly, is judging graphics and controls.

i also like the psp game...

The only thing I didn't like about AC4 was the wierd schematic/garage thing. When I first started, I deleted or lost a couple of Cores. Now that I know how to use it, I have no idea how I deleted them?! oooo I am going of to look up the next AC, thanks DJ.

My favorite is probably Armored Core 2, for the Playstation 2. That was the first armored core game I ever played. And it was crazy... My friend and I actually managed to make an ac that could literally fly forever.
