Well, that's certainly a very generous gesture. I'll be looking forward to Saturday to see what exactly does get released. I'm sure there'll be loads of interesting Sonic stuff, but I'd like to see what else there is....

Still Around...Still Gamin'...
drx is a member here - maybe he can let us know the full details!
awsome, if all prototype holders were this generous. And Sega stuff to boot. I cant wait!

I daresay that entirely too much fuss is made over those Sonic betas.
Now, if the unreleased Impossible Mission 2525 is finally in there, that would make me happy!

My exact opinion as well. This is the kind of stuff that ought to be preserved as well as possible, not hoarded in a box in a closet / rented storage room / garage. Kudos to drx for the find and for being so willing to put it all out there, though I'm curious if it being a collection of data on a CD-R versus individual carts has anything to do with it.
Without trudging through 15+ pages of the linked thread, is he basically working right now on converting everything to a common format and documenting it? That's gotta be a hell of an undertaking by itself.

Oklahoma DP Roll Call!
Hopefuly some interesting stuff in it, not just unfinished versions of games that have already been released.
drx is a hero, he saves data from death and / or imprisonment
check out http://www.hidden-palace.org/ for other things he has released, and send him money so he can continue to do so.
Wow, I'd shake his hand if he was in front of me. I can't count anymore as to how many times I've heard people gloat about their proto's and they keep them hidden like a million dollars they stole from the bank. I'm looking forward to see what he has other than the sonic stuff!
Some things never die....Give me all your Sega belongings!!!
Hey =)
There's well over 100 protos here... crazy stuff. It's not only Sonic protos, there are many more non-Sonic protos here, so stay tuned =)
I'm still going through them, sorting them out, building them etc. It's fun.
Man, this is awesome news.
/me dusts off his old flashcart ...
Needless to say, I beat DreamTR when it comes to Megadrive, 32x, Pico, and GG proto counts =)
I have 250 or so Mega Drive protos, 15 32X protos, and 39 Game Gear Protos...not including the ones I have for sale in my trade box.
DrX: Are those actual boards and EPROMS, or just files and data you are assembling?
You are doing a wonderful thing, brother drx. Can't wait to check it out.
500 Mega Drive protos? With boards? Man, that's impressive !
