Here's outtakes to his Ninja Gaiden episode

Funny outtakes. I never knew how to say Ryu's name correctly. Is it "RE-YOU" or "RYE-YOU" ?
Actually, it's technically not either, but it's not a kind of sound combination that exists in English. The best way I've thought of to explain it is like this:
Think of words like cue, view, few, hue, and pew. All of these words start with a consonant followed by a "y" glide into a "u" vowel, but they're all only one syllable. Ryu is (basically) the same thing, but with an "r" sound at the beginning. But it's not an English "r" sound; it's more like a Spanish "r", and it's made by flicking the tongue on the ridge above the teeth (the alveolar ridge). If you're American, it's a lot like the "tt" in "butter".
This explanation is not perfect - the Japanese "u" is mostly unrounded, unlike the English sound, and in this particular name, this "u" is also held for two beats (morae) - but saying something that rhymes with "cue" and starts with the sound in the middle of "butter" gets you a hell of a lot closer than "Rye-you" or even "Ree-you" (though "Ree-you" is, I think, the better of these two, especially if you accent the "you" rather than the "ree").
So its... TEEYOU then? That's what I got out of that lol
Hero Quest is probably my least favorite James video ever. Not only does he not bother to set up the game and play it, he spends half the video setting up a bad joke eveyone knew was coming. Big thumbs down on this one.
I thought the Hero Quest video was one of the best he's done. Because that's EXACTLY what happened to me when I tried to play that game, or anything like it. Another being Dungeons and Dragons.
And I really prefer MF Mike being semi normal as opposed to a laughing cackling jackass. Much better this way.
Here's a new video he did about some Bruce Lee movie. I never saw any Bruce Lee movies. But I did learn something about the origins of "kung fu"

He should at least give thanks in his videos to the people that donate the games. He said something about not having a Sega Saturn, and then he got 3 in the mail. Shit, If I had free games, I would at least give props to my fans for giving them to me. He's funny, but his latest videos have been going downhill.

Really, that's funny because I was just rewatching his Hotel Mario video he posted on YouTube where he thanks a fan for the donation.

And I believe the entire Deadly Towers video he did was a giant "thanks" to his fans.
As far as his recent videos, Ninja Gaiden and Swordquest I thought were amongst his best.
He usually does...
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?

Death to Bill and Ted!
The Ninja Gaiden and Swordquest reviews were really good, I must admit. I'm not really what you'd consider a fan, so I wasn't aware that he thanked his fans for the donations. I apologize to any AVGN fans out there. Again, I really don't watch his reviews that often, and I shouldn't make statements that I'm not qualified to make. I feel like an idiot, and I hope you (and the AVGN if reading this) accept my apology.
One thing I like about James is if you notice, a good portion of his games are not in the best condition. He doesn't care, he's only interested in the game.
