That was a great episode. I hate when the game messes up. Pesky gremlins.

Haha, inventory-boosting shenanigans in FFVI are some of the best and most fun glitches around. I seem to recall there being the chance of it going both ways, though, and erasing your inventory. Such is the risk of teasing the glitch.

Hilarious episode. However, it frustrates me to see James cleaning his NES carts with Windex or whatever brand of blue cleaning solution is in that squeeze bottle. Isopropyl, man, how can he not know to use isopropyl! I suppose there's still uncertainty on the effectiveness/dangers of blowing in a cart's contacts to "get the dust out", but I can't help but think of FrankieSaysRelax's cart-blowin' experiment and the mold he farmed in the "blow" cartridge. Anyhow, a bit of reckless cartridge-preserving behaviour on display in this AVGN installment.

What the heck is "isopropyl". Windex is something everyone can find at the store real easy.

I meant isopropyl alcohol, also known as rubbing alcohol. There's nothing better for general cartridge/console cleaning and it leaves no residue which is the primary concern with something like Windex.

Windex actually has a small percentage of Isopropyl Alcohol in it, but it also has Ammonia, dye, and some other chemicals in there.

I wouldn't use it on cartridges ... while Alcohol is safe safe in appropriate quantities, the other solvents/fillers in there might have some damaging effects.

It's commonly referred to as "rubbing alcohol" and the stuff that's in most video game cleaning kits.

He only really did that cause really everyone's done it at some point, the gremlin even pointed out that it wasn't going to do jack to save the cart.
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?

It could very well have been him just appealing to the general public who believes the blowing works, because the vast majority still think so. Or he could've just been staying in character.

Either way it's just a fun video.

I've also read alcohol can damage contacts. I'll just stick with a q tip dipped in water and squeezed damp. If I've ever gotten anything that water can't clean on my cartridge contacts, I'm an idiot and don't deserve them clean lol

Ha ha. Farting the theme song, and the Toolman/Al Borland joke were good. Funny ending, too. He really hit all of the reasons I hate Zelda II.

Zelda II is amazing. Sorry for your terrible opinion, whiny children who think it's too difficult. All the necessary hints can be found from townspeople and the fairy/falling glitches are classic.

Still a good vid. Loved the ending. Is that a real glitch with the power glove or just some creative editing?

It's my understanding that turtling against Shadow Link works like a charm.

Zelda 2 is one of my favorites of the series, but that was a good review.

My favorite Zelda, but I also thought it was a good review. I thought the best part was at the end with the Power Glove.
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.

Based on the camera angle used in that scene, my guess is someone was controlling Link off-screen with a standard controller. Great gag though.
